2 Injured When Stolen Van Slams Into Their Vehicle During Police Pursuit
Sacramento, CA (September 19, 2023). In a dramatic turn of events on Sunday evening, two individuals found themselves in hospital care following a collision involving a stolen van at the intersection of P Street and 19th Street.
Incident Started When Police Attempted To Pull Over Stolen Van
The incident unfolded at approximately 6:51 p.m. on Sunday, as Sacramento Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop near the intersection of 19th and L Street upon identifying a stolen van in the vicinity. However, the driver of the stolen vehicle refused to yield, prompting a pursuit.
Moments later, the stolen van collided with an uninvolved vehicle occupied by two individuals at the intersection of 19th Street and P Street.
All 4 Juveniles Were Arrested After The Collision
Subsequent to the collision, law enforcement successfully detained four juveniles who were inside the stolen van at the time of the incident.
As for the occupants of the other vehicle, paramedics transported them to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure.
As of now, authorities have not released any details regarding the stolen vehicle. Nevertheless, additional investigations are expected to shed light on any missing information.
