39-Year-Old Man Identified in Fatal Hit-and-Run in South Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (April 9th, 2023) – The pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend in the south Los Angeles area has been identified as Ricardo Isai Cordova-Mejia, a 39-year-old man from Los Angeles. Authorities are continuing their efforts to find the motorist responsible for the fatal accident.
Ricardo Cordova-Mejia Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in South LA
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, paramedics were sent to Hoover and 74th streets at around 4 a.m. on Sunday, where they found Cordova-Mejia dead at the scene. The hit-and-run vehicle was described as a possible silver sedan, which carried the victim nearly a block to 75th Street where he came to rest.
The incident is currently under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information on the case to come forward and assist with the investigation. The city of Los Angeles is offering a standing reward of up to $50,000 for any information that can help solve the case.
