Man Driving Too Fast Crashes Into Woman’s Car At High Rate of Speed
Tustin, CA (June 7, 2023) – Tragedy struck on Barranca Parkway in Tustin late Sunday afternoon, as a woman lost her life in a high-speed crash. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Tustin Ranch Road, according to the Tustin Police Department.

Authorities reported that a 25-year-old Santa Ana man was driving westbound on Barranca Parkway at an excessive speed of 80 miles per hour when he disregarded a red traffic signal. Consequently, he collided with the victim’s vehicle at the intersection.
The force of the initial crash caused a chain reaction involving at least three additional vehicles.
In response to the severe impact, paramedics swiftly transported both the woman and the suspect to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Tragically, despite the efforts of medical professionals, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. Identified as a 67-year-old resident of Irvine, her name is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
