Man Killed in Wrong-Way Accident in Vallejo
Vallejo, CA (May 19, 2024) – A man lost his life in a wrong-way collision on Curtola Parkway on Sunday evening, May 19. Additionally, the fatal incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. just west of Lemon Street.
The Vallejo Police Department reported that the man was driving a 2003 Nissan 350Z eastbound when his vehicle struck the raised center median curb. The car then continued eastbound in the westbound lanes, ultimately losing control and crashing into a 2018 Honda CRV.
They pronounced the driver of the Nissan dead at the scene. Furthermore his female passenger was critically injured and transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Honda, an adult male, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Solano County Sheriff’s Office is withholding The Identity Until Next of Kin Can Be Found
The Solano County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is withholding the identity of the deceased pending notification of family members.
Authorities have indicated that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. However, the Vallejo Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
