DUI Head-On Crash in Turlock Kills 2
Turlock, CA (June 8, 2024) — A man and a woman lost their lives in a suspected DUI head-on crash on Geer Road in Turlock on Saturday afternoon, June 8. The fatal accident occurred around 4:00 p.m., just south of Grayson Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 25-year-old woman from Turlock was driving a 2013 Lexus southbound on Geer Road when she crossed the double yellow lines into the northbound lane. She then collided head-on with a 1996 Toyota driven by a 36-year-old man from Modesto.
Both Drivers Killed Have Yet To Be Identified
Both drivers sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.
CHP officials confirmed that both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
