SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (March 11, 2022) – Early in the evening on Thursday in South Los Angeles, a hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian. The March 10 crash occurred in the area of Broadway-Manchester, on West 93rd Street in the 200 block.
The time was roughly a little before 6:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
Reports say the pedestrian was walking close to where South Broadway intersects when he was struck by a vehicle, according to Drake Madison. Madison is an officer with Los Angeles Police.
Authorities think the vehicle was an SUV, blue in color.
The driver did not help the victim or stay at the crash site.
Responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased at the crash site. He was identified only as in his thirties.
His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their search for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect driver, who has not been described.
