Bus Causes Multi-Car Accident on Highway 17 Near The Cats
Santa Cruz County, CA (May 31, 2024) – Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving a bus on Highway 17 Friday morning.
In addition, according to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on May 31 at approximately 7:15 a.m. A Metro Bus Highway 17 Express reportedly failed to stop in time and crashed into several stopped vehicles near The Cats.
As a result, investigators confirmed that a total of seven vehicles, including the bus, were involved in the collision. Therefore, emergency responders transported the bus driver and three passengers to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The CHP Is Continuing It’s Investigation Into The Cause of The Bus Accident
The workers completed clearing operations around noon, allowing traffic to resume normal flow.
Also, the CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
