On Monday, Another Crash on Capitol Expressway Occurred After a Police Chase
On Monday, a San Jose police chase concluded with a major collision involving five vehicles at Capitol Expressway and Story Road. The chase began when a driver attacked a police officer with a box cutter and then fled the scene in a van at 5:43 p.m., according to investigators.
Officers pursued the van to a busy intersection during rush-hour, resulting in a crash involving five vehicles. Subsequently, a foot chase ensued, and officers successfully apprehended the driver and a second individual who also attempted to flee. Both suspects were booked into a Santa Clara County jail on felony charges.
