Police Chase With A Homeless Man

A police chase occurred Saturday with a homeless man. He was arrested when he was found hiding outside a church.

Kenneth Pettit, 39, was arrested on suspicion of stolen vehicle possession, evading arrest, and felony hit and run.

A call to the Sheriff’s office reporting a suspicious vehicle, revealed the license plate of a Nissan truck.

When the police cited the car, it started to speed up.

The car crashed after entering the downtown area at which point the driver ran away on foot.
