Oscar Melgarejo is Struck and Killed on Air Expressway in Adelanto

ADELANTO, CA (September 8, 2022) – On Saturday in Adelanto, a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian. The victim of the September 3 crash was later identified as Oscar Melgarejo.

The crash occurred on Air Expressway, near Pearmain Street and to the east of it.

According to authorities, Melgarejo was attempting to walk across Air Expressway when a vehicle–described as a Nissan Frontier–struck him.

Responders pronounced Melgarejo deceased at the crash site. He was a resident of Adelanto, 33 years old.

The person who was driving the vehicle stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation. The driver was identified as Dallas Looney, a resident of Victorville, 22 years old.

Investigators are continuing their work on the crash. If anyone has information about the incident, the person can call the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station.
