ORANGEVALE, CA (August 10, 2022) – Late at night on Saturday in Greenvale, a hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian. The August 6 crash occurred on Greenback Lane close to Walnut Avenue.
The time was a little after 10:00 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
According to authorities, the pedestrian was walking across Greenback Lane and a vehicle–described as a Honda Element SC, dark in color–struck her.
The driver did not help the victim, but fled the crash site.
The pedestrian was killed in the crash. She was identified only as 56 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect driver, who has not been described.
