Pedestrian Dies after Crash Involving Two Vehicles in Hayward
Hayward, CA (February 7, 2024) – In a tragic incident on Monday night, February 5th, Miles Harbin lost his life in a pedestrian accident in Hayward. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on the eastbound 580 Freeway, near the connector to the 238 Freeway.
Prior to Being Struck and Killed, Miles Harbin Was Involved in a Car Accident
A report from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicates that there was an accident prior to Harbin being struck. He drove the eastbound lanes where he is hit by two vehicles. Afterward, he began crossing the freeway on foot for reasons unknown. This results in his fatal injuries. Harbin succumbs to his injuries at the scene.
According to the coroner’s office, Miles Harbin was 26 years old, and no permanent address is on record for him.
Other Drivers Involved Remained Behind And Cooperated With CHP Officers
The drivers of the vehicles involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement authorities. An ongoing investigation by the CHP Hayward Office is seeking to uncover further details surrounding the circumstances of the accident.
