Menlo Park Resident Acquitted of Felony and Misdemeanor Charges

A Menlo Park resident, Jerry Aaron Jenkins, 66, was acquitted of felony with aa deadly weapon and misdemeanor assault charges Monday.

Jenkins was cited for doing illegal auto repairs at his home on July 9. When the officer returned to photograph the incident, prosecutors said Jenkins got into his car and ran over the officer purposefully.

She did not sustain injuries.

Jenkins stated that the incident was an accident.
