Mary Linda Fernandez Identified as Pedestrian Killed in Bakersfield Crash

BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 16, 2021) – A pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on December 6 in Bakersfield was identified by the Kern County coroner as Mary Linda Fernandez.

Fernandez was a resident of Bakersfield, 64 years old.

The December 6 crash occurred on Union Avenue near 19th Street.

The time was roughly 6:21 p.m., according to authorities.

A vehicle struck Fernandez, fatally injuring her. Responders arrived on scene to help. They transported her to Kern Medical.

Fernandez died in the hospital.

Investigators continue to work on details of the crash.
