Los Angeles Crash in Sepulveda Pass on 405 Freeway Causes Injuries and Damage

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 6, 2022) – Early in the morning on Monday in Los Angeles, a crash in the Sepulveda Pass on the 405 Freeway caused damage and injuries. The May 2 crash occurred on the northbound side of the freeway.

The time was roughly 6:40 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

At least five vehicles collided, reports say. One of the vehicles–described as a pickup truck–rolled over.

Another vehicle ended up facing the opposite direction in the freeway lane. The vehicle has not been described, nor have the other vehicles that crashed.

Responders transported a patient to Northridge Hospital. The types of injuries the person suffered, and the current condition, are not known.

Authorities said four people suffered injuries that were described as minor.

No one involved in the crash has been identified, and the exact number of people who were in vehicles that crashed is not known from reports.

Investigators are working to understand why the collision occurred, and they are continuing to collect information.
