Livermore Fiery Crash Kills A Mother and Daughter

Mother and Daughter Killed in Fiery Crash on South Vasco Road in Livermore

LIVERMORE, CA (July 21, 2024) – A tragic accident early Sunday morning claimed the lives of a mother and her 5-year-old daughter on South Vasco Road near Naylor Avenue.

The Livermore Police Department reported that the crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. on July 21. A black Hyundai, traveling northbound on South Vasco Road, veered off the roadway and struck a tree, subsequently bursting into flames.

A 25 Year Old Man Survived, But Is In Critical Condition

Emergency responders managed to pull a 25-year-old man and the 5-year-old girl from the burning vehicle. Emergency personnel transported both to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, doctors pronounced the child dead. Additionally, the man remains in critical condition.

A 24-year-old woman, identified as the child’s mother, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that all three victims were from Manteca. In addition, the man and woman were in a relationship and were traveling with their child.

The Identities Will Be Released After The Families Have Been Notified

The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release the identities of the deceased once their families have been notified.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with no immediate indication if drugs or alcohol were involved.
