LOS ANGELES, CA (March 7, 2022) – Joshua Brown was struck and killed early in the morning on Friday in Los Angeles. The March 4 crash occurred where Obama Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard intersect, in the area of Crenshaw and Baldwin Hills.

The time was roughly 1:30 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.

According to police, Brown was in a crosswalk at the intersection when a vehicle–which had been traveling on La Cienega Boulevard and heading north–struck him. The driver did not stop to help the victim, but fled the crash site.

Responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced Brown deceased at the crash site. Brown was 32 years old.

Investigators are searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver, and the vehicle involved.
