27-Year-Old Stockton Man Killed in Hit-and-Run On Highway 99
MODESTO, CA (November 17, 2024) – A 27-year-old Stockton man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning on Highway 99 near Kansas Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. when Jimmy Martin was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. As a result, emergency responders found Martin lying on the east shoulder of the highway and pronounced him dead at the scene.
A Black Sedan With Front End Damage Is At The Center of The CHP Investigation
CHP investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a black sedan that likely sustained front-end damage during the crash.
The investigation is ongoing as officers work to locate the driver and piece together the events leading to the fatal crash. In addition, authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
