Fullerton, CA (June 25, 2018) – Fullerton police officers report that a crash in Fullerton killed 1 person and injured 1 other in what seemed to be a head-on crash. The accident happened Monday afternoon, June 25th around 3:20 p.m. A Preliminary investigation indicated that a GMC driving northbound had swerved off over the center divider and into the southbound lanes with oncoming traffic where it struck a blue Toyota head-on. The crash closed the street areas between Harbor Boulevard, Las Palmas Drive, and Imperial for several hours. The GMC driver was trapped inside the car where he was suffering from life-threatening injuries. By the time first responders finally arrived on scene, the driver of the GMC who was identified as a male was pronounced dead. The driver of the Blue Toyota sustained severe injuries and was quickly transported to a nearby trauma center. No additional information was released as to the identities of the drivers involved in the crash. Police are saying it is still unknown as to why the GMC driver veered off into the southbound lanes. In addition they don’t know if drugs or alcohol were factor in the accident at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
