Traffic Delays, Minor Injuries Reported In Five-Vehicle Crash
FLORIN, CA (May 14, 2025) — A multi-vehicle collision involving at least five vehicles disrupted traffic and left several people with minor injuries Wednesday morning at the busy intersection of Stockton Boulevard and Florin Road, just south of Interstate 80.
The crash occurred shortly after 9:25 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Initial reports indicated a pileup involving a Ford F-150 pickup truck—possibly towing a trailer—a silver Honda Accord, a black Hyundai SUV, and several gray sedans.
CHP and Sacramento Fire Were The First Agencies To Respond
Witnesses at the scene reported one vehicle blocking the intersection and a person possibly injured. Emergency crews from CHP and Sacramento Fire responded swiftly, with paramedics assessing and assisting those involved. CHP later classified the incident as a “minor injury” collision.
All northbound lanes of Stockton Boulevard were temporarily shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene. Tow trucks were brought in to remove the damaged vehicles, and traffic was diverted south of Florin Road.
Traffic Was Delayed For A Couple of Hours
The crash caused significant delays throughout the morning, particularly for drivers heading northbound or attempting left turns in the area.
Officials have not yet determined the cause of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
