28-Year-Old Woman Killed in Head-On Collision On Lopes Road
FAIRFIELD, CA (January 5, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision claimed the life of a 28-year-old woman early Sunday morning on Lopes Road near Silver Creek Road, according to Fairfield Police.
The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. when a driver, for reasons still under investigation, crossed over the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and paramedics transported the injured woman to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
The Other Driver Stayed and Cooperated With Authorities
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased woman.
Fairfield Police are urging anyone with additional information about the crash to contact them as the investigation continues.
