Cynthia Sabo Killed by Hit-and-run Driver in South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 15, 2022) – Late at night on Thursday in South Los Angeles, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian. The victim was later identified as Cynthia Sabo.
The March 9 crash occurred in the Green Meadows area, on 89th Street close to Central Avenue.
The time was roughly 10:45 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
According to authorities, Sabo was walking across 89th Street and a vehicle–which may have been a Camaro or a Charger–struck her. After hitting the victim, the driver exited the car and looked at the person on the ground.
The driver fled the crash site without helping the victim.
Sabo was killed in the crash. She was a resident of Hawthorne, 52 years old.
Investigators are searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver, who has not been described, and the vehicle involved in the crash.
