CHINO, CA (November 23, 2021) – Early in the morning on Monday in Chino, multiple vehicles crashed on the 60 Freeway, causing injuries and fatalities. The November 22 crash occurred near the border of Ontario, in an area between the exits for Euclid and Mountain Avenue.

The time was roughly 2:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

As many as three vehicles crashed in the incident, which occurred in the westbound lanes of the freeway. The sequence of the crashes has not been reported.

The vehicles have not been described.

Responders arrived and pronounced one person deceased at the crash site. The person’s identity has not been reported.

Reports do not yet say how many people may have been killed or injured. None of the people involved in the crash–including the driver of each vehicle–has been identified in reports.

Investigators are working to understand the circumstances that may have contributed to the crash.
