Car Loses Control and Crashes Into Office Building

A man lost control of his Honda Civic this morning and crashed into the Mariner’s Mile Office Building on West Coast Highway.

A photography studio, an Orange County Water District Official’s private office were damaged New Year’s Day by a man, Oscar Hugo Vargas, 31, who was suspected of drunk driving. He was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

There were passengers in the car but there were no injuries.

It is reported that the accident partially destroyed the office building.

Businesses continued to operate in alternative locations.
