Car Fire Starts Grass Fire

A grass fire started as a result of a car fire on 5 Freeway Thursday. The car fire spread to hills in the area.

A 30 acre area was affected but it was mostly contained by the afternoon.

The fire occurred inside the Angeles National Forest.

The CHP shut down the Highway. It was asked that electrical wires be powered down.

No injuries were reported.
