Buena Park, CA (January 1, 2019)- A woman suffered major injuries after she was pulled from a burning vehicle in Buena Park early Tuesday morning January 1st. The incident was reported to Buena Park Police Department sometime around 3:30 A.M. According to witnesses, a 2-vehicle collision involving a Black KIA Soul and silver Honda Civic occurred on the eastbound 91 freeway just west of Beach Boulevard in Buena Park. Shortly afterwards one of the vehicles was engulfed in flames. The California Highway Patrol dispatcher, Samantha Brown, stated the departments log was not clear about who rescued the victim, but that an off-duty Hermosa Beach Police “personnel” had been at the scene. It’s believed that this was the Good Samaritan who stopped and helped extricate the victim from the burning vehicle. No other details were available about the incident.
