Traffic was stalled for about one hour on the southbound 405 after a big-rig truck rolled over.
Two other vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred at around 7:30 a.m. near Seal Beach Boulevard.
A California Highway Patrol officer said that there were injuries but no names have been released yet.
The accident was cleared by 8:40 a.m.
