BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 21, 2022) – Early in the morning on Tuesday in Bakersfield, a pedestrian was struck and killed. The July 19 crash occurred on Truxtun Avenue in the 1900 block.
The time was roughly 4:29 a.m., Bakersfield Police said.
According to authorities, the pedestrian was not within a crosswalk when a vehicle–described as a Hall Ambulance facilities maintenance vehicle–hit her in the middle of the block.
The pedestrian’s identity, including her name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The driver’s identity is also not known from reports.
Investigators are continuing their work to gather details about the crash.
