Woman Killed in DUI Crash in Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa, CA (May 13, 2024) – Tragedy struck on Monday morning, May 13, as a woman lost her life in a DUI crash on Guerneville Road. The fatal incident occurred around 5:40 a.m. near Laguna Road, just east of Highway 116.
DUI Driver Crossed Double Yellow Lines Into Oncoming Victims Car Before Fatal Crash
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of a vehicle crossed the double yellow line, resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle. But unfortunately, the female driver of the second vehicle sustained fatal injuries and tragically passed away at the scene. At the time of reporting, the victim’s identity had not been released.
The driver responsible for the crash sustained moderate injuries and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
