In an accident apparently caused by an unlicensed drunk driver, a 14 Year old boy died.
The accident occurred Thursday night in Huntington Beach.
The accident occurred between a 2006 GMC Yukon SUV, a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup and a 2004 Toyota Tacoma pickup. The accident happened at Newport and Adams Avenue.
An 18 year old man drove the Toyota. It carried an 18 year old passenger and a 14 year old passenger. The 14 year old was pinned inside the vehicle, extricated, and taken to the hospital where he later died.
The Toyota’s driver sustained moderate injuries while the 18 year old passenger sustained minor injuries. They were both taken to the hospital.
Jaime Xahuentit Palacios, 39, the Nissan’s driver, was arrested for DUI resulting in death and for driving without a license.
