Car Accident on Highway 65 Leaves Sheriff Deputy Injured

Yuba County, CA (March 23, 2024) – A Yuba County Sheriff’s Office deputy sustained injuries in a two-car accident on Highway 65 near Evergreen Drive. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.  The deputy was rushing to a report of two unresponsive individuals who had allegedly overdosed at Camp Far West Reservoir.

Both the deputy and the other driver involved in the crash suffered moderate injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The crash occurred during heavy hail, according to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office.
