A U.S. Marine was killed in a motorcycle accident. His family is suing the city of Fremont and the police.
Andrew Silva, the victim, a resident of Union City died March 25, 2014 when he was struck by a car driven by Alexander Yohn who was allegedly intoxicated.
Silva engaged in a variety of sports and was in the James Logan High School choir before he graduated.
He was a veteran who had served in Afghanistan.
He is mourned by his wife and three year old son, siblings and parents.
Yohn ran into the motorcycle at Fremont Boulevard and Decoto Road.
Silva was thrown from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Several charges were entered against Yohn including murder, vehicular manslaughter, hit and run, etc.
He is being held without bail in the Santa Rita Jail.
