San Diego Crash at I-905 near Otay Mesa Kills One, Seriously Injures Two

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 26, 2022) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in San Diego, a rollover crash on I-905 killed a person and caused serious injuries to two others.

The October 26 crash occurred near Otay Mesa, on the connector from Interstate 805 southbound to I-905 westbound.

The time was roughly 3:15 a.m., Salvador Castro said. Castro is a spokesperson with the California Highway Patrol.

For reasons that are not known, the vehicle–which has not been described–went off the road, and rolled over.

Responders from San Diego Fire-Rescue worked to free three occupants from the wreckage.

They pronounced one person deceased at the crash site. Her identity–including name, age, and city of residence–has not been reported.

Responders transported two patients to a hospital in the area.

The injuries the two women suffered were described as serious and life threatening. Their names, ages, and cities of residence are not known from reports.

Investigators are at work to understand the crash, and why it happened. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can call investigators.
