SAN DIEGO, CA (May 26, 2022) – Early on Thursday in San Diego, a crash in the Midway District injured a pedestrian. The May 26 crash occurred where Hancock Street and Camino Del Rio West intersect.

According to authorities, a pedestrian was walking in the intersection. A pickup truck–described as a Ford F150–which had been traveling south on Camino Del Rio West, hit the person.

Responders transported the patient to a hospital in the area. He suffered injuries that include a broken pelvis, Robert Heims said. Heims is an officer with San Diego Police.

The identity of the pedestrian, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.

The driver was identified only as 69 years old. His name and city of residence are not known from reports.

Investigators are continuing to work on the crash details.
