One Injured And A Missing Dog in Local Santa Rosa Traffic Accident
SANTA ROSA, CA (May 22, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision Thursday morning caused major traffic delays and sent one person to the hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just before 7:20 a.m. on Wallace Road near Twin Pillar Way and involved a gray Subaru Outback and a dark gray Honda Accord. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with the Subaru blocking two lanes of traffic and the Honda suffering severe front-end impact.
One Driver Went To A Nearby Hospital For Observation
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene. Medical personnel transported one of the drivers to a hospital for evaluation. Officials have not yet disclosed the extent of their injuries.
Crews temporarily closed the southbound lanes on Wallace Road while they cleared debris and towed the damaged vehicles. Officials called two towing companies, All Star and Bear Flag, to assist in the removal process.
A Labrador Retriever, Involved In The Crash, Fled Into The Nearby Hills And Is Wanted For Questioning
In a separate development, a gray or brown Labrador mix believed to be involved in the crash fled into nearby hills shortly after the collision. Witnesses reported the dog’s owner may have been under the influence at the time. Concerned neighbors joined in searching for the animal, and Animal Control was notified and is currently responding to the area.
Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area as the investigation continues and cleanup efforts remain underway.
