Police Pursuit Ends in Crash, Injures Two Officers Near San Bruno Avenue
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 13, 2024) – Two San Francisco police officers were injured in a crash that occurred during a pursuit early Monday morning, January 13, near San Bruno Avenue and Paul Avenue.
The chase began around 3:20 a.m. when officers spotted a suspect vehicle near 9th and Howard streets in the South of Market district. The vehicle had evaded police the previous day, and officers saw it committing several traffic violations. When police attempted to pull over the vehicle, the driver failed to stop, prompting a pursuit.
Suspect Crashed Into A Pole Ending The Chase
The chase ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into a pole, while a police vehicle collided with a building near the intersection of San Bruno and Paul avenues. Following the crash, the suspects fled on foot.
Authorities later recovered a firearm from the scene and arrested two individuals. The two officers involved in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The San Francisco Police Department is currently investigating the incident. Authorities remind the public that attempting to flee from law enforcement during a traffic stop can lead to dangerous situations and serious consequences.
