Investigation Is Underway For Head-On Collision In Redding, CA

REDDING, CA (April 15, 2025) — A serious two-vehicle collision occurred Tuesday afternoon on North Market Street, just south of Lake Boulevard, resulting in significant damage and injuries, according to the Redding Police Department.

The crash was reported at approximately 1:10 p.m. and involved a head-on collision between a blue SUV and a white sedan. Authorities say the SUV was allegedly traveling the wrong way when it struck the sedan, causing the SUV to overturn.

Both Drivers Were Taken To A Nearby Hospital

Emergency crews, including Redding police officers and paramedics, quickly responded to the scene. Both drivers were transported for medical evaluation. Their injuries have not been disclosed, but officials confirmed that both survived the crash.

The incident remains under investigation. Police are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
