A California Patrol Officer collides with a Biker

Rancho Cucamonga, CA (May 27, 2018)– According to the Authorities a CHP officer knocked down a biker Sunday afternoon, May 27th. Prior to the accident, a group of bikers got together for a memorial group ride eastbound of the 210 freeway when the CHP officer attempted to pull over one of the bikers known as Raul E. Garcia Martinez. The CHP officer had supposedly “crossed multiple lanes” endangering others to get to the biker, says witness Jonathan Famous Rede. When Martinez took notice he slowed down away from the group and then took off on the Archibald Avenue exit. From that point, the incident was caught on camera by witness Sonia Villalobos when the CHP officer, in pursuit, knocks him down west of Carnelian Street. Biker friends of Martinez who had been following behind rushed over to the scene after witnessing what seemed to be an unnecessary hit.

After the incident Martinez was arrested and transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, then later charged with suspicion of evading felony. According to the CHP statement released a day later, said that Martinez had sustained lower leg, left shoulder and lower back injuries. The CHP officer name was not released and has been assigned an investigator to find more information about the cause of the collision.
