SAN DIEGO, CA (March 9, 2022) – Early in the evening on Sunday in San Diego, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash. The March 6 crash occurred in the area of Lincoln Park, on Logan Avenue in the 4900 block.

The time was a little after 7:15 p.m., according to John Buttle. Buttle is an officer with San Diego Police.

According to authorities, the pedestrian was walking across Logan Avenue and a vehicle–described as a Dodge Charger, white in color–struck him.

The driver did not stay at the crash site, or help the victim.

Responders transported the victim to the hospital. He died in the hospital.

He was identified only as 57 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect hit-and-run driver.
