Serious Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 24
OAKLAND, CA (June 5, 2025) — A three-vehicle collision on Highway 24 in Oakland left at least one person with major injuries Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2 p.m. on June 5 near the Claremont Avenue exit on the eastbound side of State Route 24. CHP officials reported that a gray Toyota Camry sustained significant damage after colliding with a red Honda Pilot and a third vehicle.
CHP Officials Have Reported That The Crash Is Still Under Investigation At This Time
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and it is unclear how the vehicles came to collide. The incident blocked traffic on the eastbound lanes, causing delays in the area.
Paramedics responded to the scene and treated at least one person for major injuries. No additional details about the injured individual or others involved have been released.
CHP investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
