1 Dead after Car Plummets Down Cliff in La Cañada

La Cañada Flintridge, CA (February 25, 2019) – 1 person was pronounced dead after their vehicle went over the side of a winding road along the Angeles Crest Highway, an area north of La Cañada Flintridge Monday afternoon, February 25th. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, they were summoned to respond to the accident by a driver of a passing vehicle that noticed a damaged guardrail. Firefighters and EMT arrived sometime around 3:15 P.M. to find a vehicle 200 feet down from the Angeles Crest Highway. 1 person was pronounced dead at the scene by first respondents. Both sides of the road at mile marker 31.68 were blocked until 8:25 p.m., according to Caltrans. No further details about the crash were made public.
