Head-on Crash Kills One, Injures Another in Mission Valley Area of San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 21, 2021) – Late in the afternoon on Tuesday in San Diego, a head-on crash killed one person and injured another. The July 20 crash occurred in the area of Mission Valley, on Camino Del Rio North in the 3400 block.

The time was roughly a little before 4:00 p.m., according to John Buttle. Buttle is an officer with San Diego Police.

No details have been reported on what led to the crash, or why it happened. Neither of the vehicles has been described.

Responders arrived to help; a person died at the crash site.

He was identified only as possibly in his mid-60s. His name and city of residence have not been reported. Reports say he was one of the drivers.
