Ventura, CA – Fatal crash on 101 Hwy in California

Ventura, CA (December 30, 2018) – A Fatal crash was reported on the southbound Highway 101 that closed the freeway north of Ventura for hours early Sunday December 30th. According to authorities, the incident occurred around 4:30 A.M. when a vehicle rolled-over on the southbound 101 highway near Emma Wood State Beach, on the parallels stretch of Pacific Coast Highway there, with PCH rejoining Highway 101 south of the accident site. 1 person was reported dead when a vehicle left the roadway. The victim was a 22-year old Oxnard man; his identity will be released later this week after his family members have been notified. The crash initially involved a single-vehicle, with an occupant thrown out of car. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 2 others were transported by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center.
