Man Run Over and Killed in Driving Dispute in San Jose, Suspect Apprehended
San Jose, CA (January 16, 2024) – In a distressing turn of events, Erik Duran lost his life in a homicide near Descanso Drive and First Street. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Coroner reported that the 25-year-old was killed on January 10 at approximately 5:47 p.m.

Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but it is known that Erik Duran and a suspect were involved in a dispute that escalated tragically. The suspect, after the altercation, ran over Duran and promptly fled the scene. Upon responding, San Jose police discovered Duran with fatal injuries, including gunshot wounds.
After a thorough investigation, detectives identified 19-year-old Mikel McNack from Fremont as the homicide suspect. Authorities swiftly arrested and booked him into Santa Clara County Jail.
Currently, law enforcement seeks the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle involved—a gray 2017 Infiniti QX30 SUV with California license plate 8TQV123.
