El Cajon Multi-vehicle Crash on I-8 Causes Damage

EL CAJON, CA (June 2, 2022) – Late in the afternoon on Tuesday in El Cajon, multiple vehicles collided on I-8, causing damage. The May 31 crash occurred on the westbound side of the freeway, near the Grossmont Union High School District and close to where El Cajon Boulevard is located.

The time was roughly 4:45 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

No details have been reported on how the crash happened, or the exact number of vehicles involved. One of the vehicles was described as an RV trailer.

The trailer had overturned in the crash.

No one involved in the crash has been identified, nor have any injuries been reported. The number of people involved in the crash is also not yet known from reports.

Investigators are working to understand the sequence of the crash, and how it happened. They are currently gathering information and details.
