SAN DIEGO, CA (February 10, 2022) – On Wednesday afternoon, a driver who was fleeing from San Diego Police crashed into a house in the Talmadge neighborhood. The February 9 crash occurred in the vicinity of Estrella Avenue and Madison Avenue.

Reports say San Diego Police officers had been conducting a probation search in the area of 52nd Street and Monroe Avenue, and saw a vehicle–described as an Infinity–with two people inside.

According to authorities, the person driving the Infinity left the site without responding to officers.

Officers pursued the Infinity, and the pursuit came to a stop not long after when the Infinity crashed into a house. The two occupants attempted to flee the crash site on foot, reports say, but authorities apprehended them.

The two people were identified only as men. Their names, ages, and cities of residence have not been reported.

The extent of damage to the house has also not been reported, and it is not known if anyone was home when the crash occurred.

Investigators are working to gather information and details about the incident.
