Suspected DUI Crash On Tulley Road Kills Passenger, Driver Arrested
SAN JOSE, CA (June 11, 2025) — A woman was killed and another injured early Wednesday morning when a suspected DUI driver lost control and crashed into a tree on Tully Road, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The fatal single-vehicle collision occurred around 1:50 a.m. in the 800 block of Tully Road, near Galveston Avenue. Police said a blue 2015 Toyota sedan was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway and struck a tree.
2 Female Passengers Were Rushed To The Hospital Where One Died From Her Injuries
The vehicle was carrying two female passengers at the time. Both women were transported to a local hospital, where one later died from her injuries. The second passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Emergency responders treated the male driver for injuries at the scene. Authorities later arrested him on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
The incident marks San Jose’s 12th traffic-related fatality of 2025. The investigation is ongoing.
