Car Crashes on Top of Ambulance in San Diego; Three Injured
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 31, 2022) – On Wednesday morning in San Diego, a car crashed and landed on top of an ambulance, injuring three people. The March 30 crash occurred in the area of Kearny Mesa, on Greencraig Lane in the 4800 block.
The time was roughly 9:30 a.m., San Diego Fire-Rescue said.
The person who was driving the car–described as a Tesla–had been parking the vehicle in a parking lot, reports say. The driver depressed the accelerator by accident, according to reports, and the Tesla went over a curb.
The car landed on top of an ambulance.
Responders transported three people who had been traveling in the car to a hospital in the area. The types of injuries suffered have not been described, and the current conditions of the patients are not known.
None of the people involved in the crash have been identified.
Investigators are working to collect information about the crash.
