Walnut Creek, CA (June 4, 2018) – California Highway Patrol is reporting that a 32-year-old woman has died in a crash while driving the wrong-way on interstate highway 680. The accident happened early Monday morning, June 4th at around 1:30AM. The California Patrol officers responded to the incident when reports of a women driving northbound on the southbound lanes on highway 680 near Walnut Creek. When CHP arrived at the scene, they found a Mitsubishi Galant that had crashed into the center divider of the highway. The crash left the front of the car completely wrecked and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The Contra Costa Coroner’s office released the identity of the woman as 32-year-old Crystal Beauvais, a resident from Oakland. Officers don’t know if alcohol or drugs were factor in the crash but are still investigating the accident to gather evidence and more information.
