Suspect Crashes into Pickup Truck during Police Chase

A police chase ended on Wednesday morning in Westminster after the suspect involved, crashed into a pickup truck, reports said.

The chase started at about 6:20 a.m. when an officer tried to stop a silver Dodge Caliber near the intersection of Newhope Street and McFadden Avenue for a simple traffic violation, but the vehicle fled.

Santa Ana police attempted to pursue the offender, but lost him. They then radioed the Westminster police who spotted him and tried to stop him.

The driver then failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck near the corner of Bolsa Avenue and Beach Boulevard.

Three passengers were inside the truck. All four people were taken to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
